Eric Pilcher
Chef Eric Pilcher brings over two decades of culinary passion to every event he touches. Chef Eric is highly recognized in the BBQ world with numerous awards including the prestigious Hogs for the Cause – Best All Around Award.
His childhood exposure to hunting, fishing and cooking for the masses began in the duck camps on The Alabama River. Specifically, the infamous hunters paradise called Mobile-Tensaw delta, which flows into Mobile Bay and eventually to the Gulf of Mexico. The simple life of catching and cooking wild fish and game shaped his vibrant, bold approach to food.
Working himself into the restaurant world at age 14, he grew up surrounded by the rich flavors of the Gulf Coast’s best chefs, lively restaurants and honky tonk bars.
At 22, Eric took his skills to Vail, Colorado, training under Chef Mike Fernandez and refining his craft at Moe’s Original BBQ. After four years of management and mentorship, he headed west again—this time to the Reno-Tahoe region, where his love for open land conservation, hunting, fishing, skiing, & desert dwelling collided to make it the perfect home.
Following a successful 12-year career at his Tahoe City Marina lakefront restaurant, and now a father of two, Chef Eric shifted his focus to catering and events—bringing his signature flavors to intimate gatherings, weddings, corporate parties, festivals and special events while embracing a more balanced family life.
